I have great news!
My Relay Team is through to the State Finals in all of the races. My team: Mixed 200m got first place, and we got a blue ribbon. I was so scared but excited at the same time.
My other team the Mixed 100m got first as well. I am really happy! Every one is very excited for us.

As you probably know, I compete in Little Athletics. It is a program that teaches kids to be their best and have fun. The top nine or so runners in each age group represent Geelong in the Regional and State Relays. If you don’t know what Relays are then listen up:
A relay is a race where there a four people on each team. One person starts with a baton in their hand. They run their race then passes it to the next person. This repeats until everyone has ran. It is a race.
This year I have been picked to represent Geelong in the relays and on the 10th of December I will be heading off to Williamstown to compete.
I have qualified for the Regional Championships, and I hope to qualify for the State Finals.
If my team gets to compete at the States, we will get to run at the new stadium: ‘Albert Park’ in Melbourne. I am really excited!

Writing is a fun thing to do and it is my favourite subject at school. Here is one of my writing pieces called:‘Hunters should be Banned’ It is a persuasive text.
Some animals are nearing extinction and that is mostly the fault of hunters. I believe these men and women should be banned. Here are my reasons why:
Animals like Moose and Crocodiles get hunted for various reasons – for their skin, for their heads and more. They are usually used for decoration, bags and clothes. I have also seen in shops: ‘Crocodile skin boots’ and they were really expensive. You can tell the hunters are just doing it for the money, and to kill an innocent animal for money or for fun is just not right.
People don’t realise that if they keep hunting and killing these animals, they might even become extinct. The hunters need to open their eyes and see that there is not a never ending supply of animals, and if they don’t stop, the whole animal kingdom might get wiped out in the next decade.
The main area where hunting takes place is Africa, where most of the animals are native. The Black Rhino is a victim to hunting and there are only a few thousand left. Even though hunting isn’t the only source of animals dying (there is also littering and animal diseases), hunting is easy to stop. So please all you hunters out there, stop hunting, and our favourite animals will still be around in the next century!
That is why I believe hunters should be banned.

This year our Inquiry Term 4 topic was Design technology. At the start of the term, everyone took a ballot to see who wanted to be in which group.The options were:
It was a hard decision for me to choose, but I ended up choosing Food. The first thing we did was plan and design our first assignment, Apple Stacks. We planned for about two weeks before cooking our our apple stacks. I tried my best and tried to make the presentation look neat. Mr Mugavin came as our Mystery judge. He was judging on Presentation. At our senior meeting, he announced the results, scratch the secret scratch card to find out who won!
Our next dish was going to be pancakes. But not any old pancakes, gourmet ones! We had to find our recipes, organise the ingredients, research the criteria, and before long we were making our pancakes. My partner Casey, (Her Blog http://caseyccs11.edublogs.org/) decided to make Rocky Road Pancakes.

We cooked them, and they really worked out. I had alot of fun and Casey did too. Mr Mugavin came in, and judged again, except this time he was judging on our criteria:
Mr Mugavin decided on the winner. Jake and Callum had won. Next time, we are making a punch for the fashion design group, for their fashion parade.
